The multicolored world of the souks, where jostle various objects …, is the sacred domain of Craftilymarrakesh who, day after day, tirelessly repeat ancestral gestures learned from father to son. From raw materials – plaster, stone, soil, wood, argan-based cosmetics. These artists create sumptuous decors, where colors, geometric and floral motifs abound.

Today, Moroccan Craft includes about 70 different trades. This ancestral way of life offers a diversity of creations and materials used: wood, copper, stone, iron, leather ...

Without this activity, thousands of families would be condemned to poverty which would mark the end of the extraordinary agitation of the souks.

We are working with these artists to revive traditional art and give new life to those who have suffered the consequences of the economic and social evolution of human societies.

We want to further develop the know-how and encourage learning. In short, to give them the means to create their own wealth for a happy and fulfilling life.

Our priority is to further develop the know-how in weaving and to encourage the apprenticeship of our craftsmen in order to give them the means to achieve total financial independence for a happy and fulfilled life. 

How are artisans paid?

Carpet making is a long process and an integral part of the Berber communities in which we operate, which is why craftily marrakesh vouches for maintaining a lasting relationship with them. As custodians, we take our responsibility to support our artisans, their culture, their communities through the rug making process and we comply with all legal human and labor rights requirements. 

It is fair, as a leader in the trade of handmade Berber carpets, to grant fair remuneration. We always do our best to support our artisans and our communities in a way that reflects the human spirit. That's why we are committed to reinvesting at least 15% of our profits in the development of rural communities and to providing additional grants that allow our artisans and their families to thrive financially and personally.
